  2. Congratulations on your knitty pattern! I saw that you rescued the two dogs modeling your sweaters. I just rescued two cats myself, so I have a special spot for the adopted ones. Unfortunately, I don't think any of the three of my cats will wear a shrug; I'd love to knit the pink one for the new girls.

  3. The doggie shrugs are really cute.
I'm amazed that you were able to get them to sit so still to get a good picture.

  5. Thank you for the best knitty pattern EVER! I nearly plotzed when I saw the pattern (and that first picture of Jax is killer).

I'm off to hunt through the stash in order to find the right yarn to knit up some shrugs for both of my puppers!

  9. Hi...
I'm a dedicated Knitty reader and just love the pattern. My dog however is very anti-clothes so I'll have to get another dog to try this on!!! OK, maybe I won't go get another dog - LOL.

The pictures are just great too.

Glad to have found your blog,
Michele & her anti-clothes wearing dog, Ruby

  12. LOVE the pattern. I've been looking for a good dog sweater-ish pattern that would be easier to get on my mom's papillion than a regular sweater, and this is the answer.

I know a barky little papillion that's getting one of these for xmas...

  13. That pattern is SO cute as is the model. I love the first pic on the Knitty page. Congrats, Here's some shameless promotion, I have an Etsy store too! ;-) and a rescued Dal who is not such a great model, not on account of looks but general squirminess.

  17. Hi, Elisa! *waves in the general direction of up* How's Allie?

Sarah, I just saw this issue of Knitty and LOVE your pattern. I'm a member of the United Yorkie Rescue Organization and have a rescued Yorkie-wannabe (in reality some kind of terrier mix) who will have this sweater as soon as my Christmas knitting is done.

Would you give permission for me (and maybe other UYR members) to knit this sweater to sell in our Yorkie Shoppe? We raise money to pay for vet bills (sometimes in the $4000 range) and to take care of our pups till they find a Forever Home. I really think that it will be a big hit, and we'd love to give you credit for allowing us to use it.

  22. I love the photo of Jax and we have it on our fridge. Not just because it is the cutest thing ever, but because my six year old sons name is Jax. No it is not short for Jaxon, it is just Jax and he is obsessed with dogs right now. I knit the shrug for my mother-in-laws West Highland Terrier in black and it looks very chic. Good work and keep them coming.
